An ode to hackathons.
Hackathons are in a weird place right now.
What does winning one even prove? Not to the world — but to you, about yourself?
Should there even be winners?
Is it just a place to socialize?
Maybe we should call them imaginathons.
Some people call coding agents racing cars. Perhaps there's an analogy with Formula One.
But it's a poor one.
Becuase F1 is the absolute epitome of focus, mental strength, skill.
Paying attention every millisecond — engines screaming.
With coding agents, every second is lost meaning.
